When this is the answer

01

The same drain has backed up more than once

Something is still in the line. A camera inspection is how we find out what.

02

A Syracuse property of typical local age

Rapid growth on fill, settlement, which narrows the likely causes considerably.

03

Several fixtures affected at once

Points at the shared line rather than any single drain.

Drains and sewers only

Not a plumbing company with a drain page. This is the whole job.

A camera on recurring calls

If a drain has backed up before, guessing at it twice is not a plan.

Northern Utah homes

Cast iron, clay lateral, hard water scale, roots. The local failure modes.

Sewer Camera Inspection in Syracuse

Syracuse housing is one of the fastest-growing towns in the area, mostly built in the last twenty-five years, which usually means PVC in the overwhelming majority. The age of a property is the best single predictor of what its drain lines are made of, and that decides what a camera inspection is likely to show.

Syracuse went from farmland to subdivision quickly, and a lot of its lines were laid in fill. Fill settles. When a Syracuse line starts holding water in one place, settlement is usually why.

What we look for in Syracuse lines

Newer lines rarely fail the way old ones do. There is no rust to read and usually no clay joint for roots to find. What the camera is looking for here is grade: standing water sitting in one section, which normally means the ground under the pipe has settled since it was laid.

That is the Syracuse version of the question. The general case, including when this service is the wrong choice, is covered on the sewer camera inspection page.

Access in Syracuse

Newer builds almost always have an accessible exterior cleanout, which makes access the straightforward part of the job here.

Syracuse is inside our regular Davis County service area, so travel is not the constraint. Access at the property usually is.

Before we recommend anything

It is worth doing on anything that has backed up more than once, on anything affecting several fixtures, and before buying an older property.

If the line turns out to be sound, that is what we will tell you. A recurring blockage on its own is not evidence that a sewer needs replacing.

Is a camera inspection right for my problem?

Tell us what the drain is doing and we will tell you whether this is what you need or whether something simpler covers it.

What if you find nothing wrong?

Then that is what we tell you. On a line that has backed up repeatedly, finding a sound pipe is often the most valuable thing you can learn.

Not sure if this is what you have?

Tell us what the drain is doing. We will tell you what usually causes that pattern before you commit to anything.

What is the drain doing?

What is the drain doing?

Worth saying up front. If the pipe turns out to be healthy, we will tell you that. We do not turn a drain cleaning call into a sewer replacement pitch.

Backing up right now? (801) 643-5784

What we do when the pipe is fine

No fault found

Sometimes the camera goes down a line that has backed up three times and finds nothing wrong with the pipe. Grease, or roots at one joint, or a fixture that was never vented properly. The pipe itself is sound.

When that happens we clean it properly, tell you what caused it, and leave. That is the whole visit. A recurring clog is not evidence that a sewer needs replacing, and we are not going to say it is.

Tell us what the drain is doing

Describe the symptom and we will tell you what usually causes it. If it needs a look, we will come and look.

No call-out pressure and no sewer replacement pitch. If cleaning is the fix, cleaning is what we quote.
